I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in History and English. I was one of those kids who determined to read every book in the children’s section of the public library. I made it to the authors beginning with the letter “N” before I gave up! Ideas for writing are always churning around in my head. My special interest is in preserving the accomplishments of people in the past for future generations. That’s why I’ve begun compiling vintage recipes from good cooks from the past, both Mormon and non-Mormon, for present day families.

I also earned a Teacher Credential and have a Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences, as well as a Paralegal Certificate from University of Arizona. I’ve worked as a teacher, librarian in public and academic libraries, real estate broker, mortgage loan officer, and even taught rock climbing and cross country skiing. I also attended law school and worked as a law librarian in Sacramento, CA.

I’ve spent many hours pawing through my dad’s old tackle box. It was filled with fascinating lures of all colors and shapes. Why so many different lures? My dad explained that it takes the right combination of design and color to catch a fish. I’m still fascinated with many shapes and colors, so I dabble in writing a variety of books–cookbooks, how-to books, and children’s books based on real events.
